Citizen Engagement & Program Implementation Support for Uttarakhand Water Supply Program for Peri-urban Areas Background The government of India has received a loan (8805 - In) from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), World Bank towards the cash of Uttarakhand Water Supply Program for Peril-urban areas (Rural – Urban Transition Zone). The present program worth USD 150 million (World Bank share USD 120 million and GOUK share USD 30 million in the ratio of 80:20) will support the Uttarakhand Water Supply Program for Peril- urban areas over six years (2018 - 2023). This funding will not only be spent on water supply services delivery improvement but also policy formulation, enhancing planning capabilities and monitoring and evaluation using the Program for Results (P for R), financing instrument in which disbursements and linked to the achievement of pre-agreed Disbursement Linked Indicators (DLI) under the program.
